Terms of Use

Recipe Saver by Trewlo · Effective October 22, 2026

The short version: use the app for your own cooking, respect other people's recipes, and manage your subscription in iOS Settings. Recipes in the app can be wrong, and the app isn't medical, allergy or nutrition advice, so check ingredients and labels yourself. Apple's standard terms apply too.

1. These terms

These terms apply to Recipe Saver by Trewlo and trewlo.com, which are provided by Trewlo (“we”). The app is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). These terms add to the EULA. If the two conflict, the EULA wins. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 to create an account. Keep your sign-in secure, and you're responsible for activity on your account. Everyone you invite to a family library must also be 18 or older. People in a family library can see and add recipes in that library.

3. Subscriptions

  • Recipe Saver is free to use, with unlimited saved recipes. Recipe Saver Pro, an optional subscription, costs $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year (US prices, plus any applicable tax). The features included in Free and Pro are described on trewlo.com/recipe-saver and in the app.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can cancel anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • If we ever change prices, Apple will notify you, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

4. Your content

Recipes, notes and photos you add are yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only to run the app for you and your family library. Only import content you have the right to use, and keep other creators' recipes for your personal use. Don't publish them as your own.

5. Food safety, allergies and accuracy

  • Not advice. Recipe Saver is a tool for storing and organizing recipes. It is not medical, allergy, dietary or nutrition advice, and it doesn't replace advice from a doctor or other qualified professional.
  • Recipes can be wrong. Recipes are read automatically, including with AI, from sources we don't control. A recipe in the app can be incomplete or wrong, including its ingredients, amounts, cooking times and temperatures. A “?” marks some values the app isn't sure about, but values without one can be wrong too. Check every recipe against the original before you cook.
  • Allergies. Any allergy or ingredient warnings in the app are a convenience only. They may be incomplete or wrong, and they may miss ingredients that contain or may contain an allergen. No recipe in the app is confirmed to be free of any allergen. If you or anyone you cook for has an allergy or other dietary need, check every ingredient and every product label yourself.
  • AI-created recipes. If the app offers recipes created by AI, they are generated automatically and have not been tested or reviewed by a person. They may be incomplete, wrong or unsafe. Use your own judgment before cooking one.
  • Safe food handling. You're responsible for how you prepare, cook and store food. Follow safe food-handling practices, including proper cooking temperatures and storage.

6. Fair use

Don't misuse the app. That means no attempts to break or overload it, to access other people's data, to scrape it, or to use it for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that do.

7. Third-party content

Links and imports from TikTok, websites and other services belong to their owners. We aren't responsible for their content, and those services may change in ways that stop an import from working.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app, trewlo.com and all recipes and other content in them are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app will be error-free or always available, or that any import or feature will work for every source.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Trewlo is not liable for any illness, allergic reaction, injury, damage or loss that comes from using a recipe or information in the app, or for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

9. Changes and ending

We may update these terms and will tell you about material changes in the app. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
